Teaching For Effective Learning (TFel)
Salisbury Primary School is part of an exciting project called Teaching for Effective Learning (also known as TfEL).
The project is a federally funded research project involving 20 schools across the state. It has a number of goals.
A major goal to gather, with teachers, information on effective teaching practices currently in use and on how these can be developed to improve student learning.
A second goal is build teacher skills in reviewing and build their own practices using the Teaching for Effective Learning Framework.
A Specialist Teacher works full time in the school. That teacher works side by side with individual teachers using the Teaching for Effective Learning Framework to plan and put into practice classroom learning programs. The Specialist Teacher also works with the whole staff to further their knowledge of the latest research about student learning and the implications of this on our teaching practices.
